“Through the process of recovering from back surgery, Lori had to re-teach me how to use my core muscles to walk. I knew all the anatomical and physiological facts but putting those facts into practice and feeling how my body was suppose to work was a different issue all together. We are often taught that we are to exercise our core when it is at rest (when we are lying supine). But through Lori’s core training. I have learned I can strengthen my core during activities such as walking, standing, and sitting. Lori has also taught me the importance of keeping my body stretched out in order to prevent future orthopedic problems. Being able to put her stretch techniques into practice myself, has reiterated to me how important stretches are in my clinical practice of occupational therapy.

“Why do I need to buy a book or DVD on stretch, especially since I am already involved in other forms of exercise?”
" Lori teaches stretching methods that are different from Yoga because certain muscles that never rest are allowed to rest. Breathing is such a large component of Lori’s stretch method, also part of my work as a Lymphatic Therapist. The Lymphatic system moves lymph by using deep breathing, and movement of muscles to remove waste product. I have added Lori’s method to my practice of Manual Lymphatic Drainage to improve health and wellbeing in my clients.”
